For trouble-free operation of the air/liquid heat exchanger the quality requirements of the coolant must be maintained; The selection of appropriate anti-corrosion and frost protection agents depends on the environment in which the unit is used and on the external chiller.

At coolant temperatures below 14 °C, there is an increased risk of condensation. We recommend using a condensate management package.

Varistar LHX+ In-Rack coolers are designed to deliver localized energy efficient cooling to the equipment in installations where the ambient air is not filtered or temperature controlled. The device is IP54 and connects to attached Varistar CP cabinet into a sealed combo so no air is exchanged with the room.

The cooling system is integrated into a Varistar CP mobile frame for ideal side by side connection to Varistar CP racks. The cooler comes with solid front and rear doors. It incorporates a cold air plenum in the front and warm air plenum in the rear. The integrated fans move the warm exhaust air from the warm air plenum through an air to water heat exchanger where the heat is transferred to a water circuit. The air is then provided into the cold air plenum towards the equipment.
